I have purchased my item, but i have recieved no order confirmation?
Once you have placed your order on our site, please pay attention to the order number. This will be displayed as "IMD-????". You should recieve an order confirmation within 30 minutes of placing an order, but if you do not recieve one, please check your junk folder, as sometimes they can end up in there.
How long will it take to ship my item?
We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-3 working days, but usually, if the order is placed before 3pm GMT, it should be dispatched that day. During COVID-19, we are aiming to still achieve our 1-3 day dispatch time, however for some orders, there may be delays.
I have never heard of IMD Pistons, and i am unsure of the quality.
We use only the highest grade metals for our piston kits, ring sets, piston pins, circlips and bearings. If you are unsure of our quality, please see our eBay store, in which we have over 6000 reviews, and also our Trustpilot page, where we have client feedback from recent orders.
Do you offer discounts for trade members, forum members or new customers?
Why yes we do. Please check our home page for current promotions, which you will recieve by email when signed up to our newsletter. We have promotions live for certain forums relevant to our industry, and we also offer discounts for trade members, businesses within the classic motorcycle industry, and if you have no idea whether you are eligible for a discount, simply give us a call!
Do you ship worldwide?
We do ship worldwide, however for the sake of shipping prices, some countries are marked as areas where we cannot ship to. If you are in a country where we currently do not ship to, please use the contact form and we can obtain a shipping quote.
We can provide customers with a rebore service, dependant on their model, bore size and year. Please get in touch so we can establish whether we can provide the correct service for your engine.
I wish to return my items, or the item has arrived damaged, or not as described.
For all returns, refunds or damaged items, please ensure that you are complying with our 30 day return policy. If the item has been in your posession for over 30 days, *unless agreement has been arranged with IMD, then there shall be no grounds for a straight refund. If the 30 days have passed, you can return your item for a store credit voucher, totalling the amount paid, or alternatively, you can exchange for another product of the same worth, or higher.
That being said, we are very open and understanding when it comes to returns, and we fully appreciate that our product may sit on your workshop shelf for many months, even years, but please be respectful of our intentions.

Is this site secure? Are my payment details safe if i check out through the website and not your eBay store?
Yes, we are secure. Please look for the padlock on the left hand side of the long search bar. If you see the padlock, then you know that our site is as secure as they come (SSL). Your payment details are not stored by IMD, nor would they be distributed or passed on. If you are purchasing via Paypal, then you have the Paypal Money Back Guarantee, and if you are paying by VISA or Credit Card, then you have the security of our site, aswell as your bank / card provider.

Do you release new products, and if i do not see my desired item, does that mean you would not have it?
Yes, we aim to release new products every month, but for some pistons, rings, gaskets, valves and camshafts, this is very difficult, and we may face delays in the manufacturing process. If you cannot see a particular part, and you wish to purchase it, then please give us a call, or use our contact form, and ask us what you need. We have thousands of NOS (New old stock) in our offices, and we cannot simply list these items for sale, as we would never leave the office!! So please, drop us an email and we will do our upmost to source the parts for you.
